- We were not informed that there would be such an award so I was quite surprised. I feel grateful that anyone will wear what I make, says a very happy Louisa Reinholt.

It is the first time in the history of the competition that a public’s award is given. The guests were asked to vote for their favourite design and chose the young, Danish designer’s two dresses and cape made from lamb and seal skin in rich and bright colours.

Daniel Kohavi from Israel won first prize. Turkish Ali Koc won second prize. Former finalists and winners are Astrid Andersen, who is internationally recognised for her hip hop inspired menswear styles, Nicolas Martin Garcia, who designs menswear at Dolche & Gabbana, and Thom Barends, who is product designer at Haider Ackermann.

Remix is The International Fur Federation’s annual design competition. Each year, 1000 design students from more than 25 countries participate. 12 were selected for the finals.

“I’m very open as to what will happen in the future. I’m looking for a job and this is great for my portfolio but I take one day at a time.” - Louisa Reinholt”
