Background
An assistive device that the user can decorate as they wish and use as a personal expression of identity.

Blooming Barries

In today’s society, assistive devices are often prioritised for function rather than for both function and aesthetics. The purpose of an assistive device is to provide better functionality for the person who needs it, but shouldn’t the user also want to use the device? Through my project, I aim to help people with a physical disability express themselves more authentically through their assistive device. This will help the person feel confident, be seen positively, and communicate: “This is who I am”.
