The work of the hand as tomorrow’s luxury

Series of unique handprinted quality textiles for luxury clothing on natural fibres exploring, whether the presence of the designer’s hand can contribute to prolonging the lifespan of textiles. The designer investigated, how the work of the hand and the presence as a designer are reflected as aesthetic qualities in dialogue with the material.

The project is inspired by the designer’s grandmother’s wardrobe filled with quality and emotional attachment, and some of the garments are over 60 years old.
