My internship
In this post I will show you what my everyday surroundings has looked like for the past 2 months - and how it is going to look until the summer holiday. During the last 2 months, I have been an intern at the danish interior company Bloomingville. With my background as a textile and illustrator student, I am helping them develop new products in these cathegories.
Earlier I have done internships in smaller freelance textiles companies consisting of only 1 or 2 people. This time I chose a bigger company as a contrast to my earlier experiences, to see how things are working in a place like this. Bloomingville is a very commercial company and is very opposite to the way we work at the school with a lot of proces thinking. It has been some very interesting, challenging, busy and educational weeks. I have really enjoyed it and I am happy that I have choosen to have a full lenght internship at the same company instead of deviding the semester into two companies.
2 months has already gone by now and I still feel like I just started and that I can learn so many things still. I look forward to the next couple of months at Bloomingville.
The pictures present Bloomingville's showroom, the workoffice, the stock room and the entrance hall. All the surroundings have such a consistent style. Even in the bathrooms. By the time you step inside the door you think and feel Bloomingville.
