The Borderline Syndrome is one of the most common mental disorders in Denmark. The illness greatly affects the patient’s ability to form relationships, and it is a highly stigmatised disorder that is hard to live with. Communication designer, Anne Storgaard Philipp, was surprised to realise that there were virtually noreadily available materials to assist the families.
In collaboration with Borderline-netværket, Pårørende-rådgivningen and Psykiatriens Hus in Silkeborg she has developed a web page where the families can support each other, air their frustrations and find general information about the illness. In other words, the web page ensures better quality of life for the families and hence indirectly for the patients as well.
