Getting it (kind of) started
Here I am, officially in my last semester at Kolding School of Design and ready to graduate…kind of. I’m sitting in front of my first mood board version, still not one hundred percent sure about my theme, even not about doing THIS.
When I started my studies back in 2009, I was dreaming about being a Master’s student. I imagined it being exciting and just one step away from my first million as a super successful fashion designer (of course skilled and totally ready to blow everyone’s mind with my creations)!
Meanwhile, I’m actually just a step away from the duty of paying back my insanely high student loan and the only thing, that actually blew away everyone recently was the massive storm in Denmark. Anyway, I think it’s just natural to be afraid of the graduation project and the big, wide and brutal world, that awaits me. Of course, I’m also super excited about my upcoming project! As I mentioned, I just started to put up the first pictures on my mood board, building up my own little universe. I just love doing that.
My dear reader, I want to take you with me on this exciting, crazy, intensive and sometimes frustrating journey as a Master’s fashion student. You’ll get a monthly update about my project, my little universe (full of unicorns), model hunting, fast food recipes and nervous breakdowns. I call it “The diary of a highly skilled fashion prodigy” – a perfect title for my ego!
