New setting, same people
Meet Asbjørn Kristiansen.
Design School Kolding is transforming. For this exciting transformation, the school will temporarily relocate from Aagade 10 to Dyrehavevej 116. The look of the school will change, but the strong community and shared passion for design within Design School Kolding will remain the same.
In the series "New setting, Same people", members of the institution will give an insight into their part in this community. Today we give you BA student Asbjørn Kristiansen.
What inspires and/or fascinates you?
- The people around me, from family and friends, to work workplaces and random encounters from day to day keep inspiring and fascinating me.
What is your background (what did you do before you got to Design School Kolding)?
I almost finished a cabinet maker education, but I missed a focus on the user, and a reason for production. So, you started applying for design schools.
Why did you choose to study at Design School Kolding?
There were many reasons for choosing the Design school Kolding. Its hands on practice, its reputation, the community and the playful view on design.
What would be your dream assignment?
I think my dream assignment would work with assistive devices, but on more person-to-person projects. But then again, I feel like my dream assignment changes for each course we start.
And what are you most excited about while the school is being transformed?
I like that we have some green areas now, especially now that summer is on its way.
